The Wrong Turn And The Caution Thrown To The Wind.

Image
At times in life, when things turned bad and endeavours resulted or ended in disaster, majority of people tend to wonder why? Why did this happen? Why did it happen this way? But what the majority of people did not know are these: things don't just happen in life; there are no accidents and neither is there any coincidence.       For a disaster to occur, and for what people call accidents to happen, there assuredly have been wrong turns, haste, lackadaisical attitudes, disobedience to rules and regulations, complacency, impatience, and the inability of the person concerned to delay gratification, which later resulted in the cataclysmic results, visible for everybody to see: which warranted the questions earlier asked-Why?      Premature deaths occur, marriages fail, lucrative job opportunities are lost, destinies are derailed, and purposes are defeated all because, the caution that ought to have been adhered to...

I'm Addicted, I Can't Have Enough!

Image
I'm Addicted, I Can't Have Enough! "I am addicted, I can't have enough, And so enough I don't seem to have, And this bondage away, from me I want! But the pleasures and the thrills it brings, So addicting, my flesh cannot eschew!" Directly and unconsciously the moan is heard, When visible, the wretchedness is seen, In the body, soul, and spirit, By the kindred and caucus of them, In the bondage of cocaine and heroin! In the gutters and under the bridges, the metropolis, To the blinding light of day awaking, With bruises and broken lips, the battery of the liquor, Yet, the more, enough seem he not to have, To alcohol he is addicted, he can't have enough! Once again the hunger grips the soul, For the pleasure, illicit sex derives, Though yesterday positive was the result, Visible in the blood and serum were gonorrhoea, syphilis, and HIV! With these she is never moved, To hookups she is addicted, she can't have enough! 'So bad yesterday th...

Once Upon A Time.

Image
Once Upon A Time Once Upon A Time! A time, long gone, In their shoes we were, The adults of today so big and so strong, A weakling and vulnerable we were, In the womb of our mothers! While for some nothing but a lump of blood, The foetus so innocent will be! And heartless and inconsiderate they'll be, 'Cause, at the mercy of the clinical assassin's blade, On and on the foetus so harmless and innocent they put! For long time ago, their memory it escaped, For once upon a time in life, A weakling, vulnerable in the womb, Once like them we were! Once upon a time in their shoes, Well cut and tightly fitted you were,  In the abjectness of the condition so named poverty, When in a day to ingest, Prerequisite balanced square meal of the day, Unstable as the will-o'-the-wisp, Slipping from your grip so well, was known, For the silver spoon with some were born, And the clay spoon with you were born, But the Almighty power the tide has turned, Though the clay spoon wit...

IN THE STRATA OF LIFE

Image
There are people, in the strata of life: the kind that are strong-willed and those that are weak-willed. The strong-willed people are confident, courageous, and bold: they always have their way in life. While the weak-willed  people are timid and jittery. They are always anxious, and people around them always have their way in their lives(they are easily manipulated).      But to everything in life, there are downsides and upsides. To the strong-willed and courageous, whenever they set their eyes on a goal or objective, they will accomplish it no matter what the challenge to the goal may be and God willing their their success! They are never discouraged and are never dissuaded easily from their chosen course in life. But the downside there is this, when a strong-willed person/people is/are given to complacency, the counsel of wisdom which pertains to life may not and will not dissuade them from taking an action or path which they've s...
