Wipe Away Our Tears!
Wipe Away Our Tears!
How consider we not?
The state in which they are,
So sad, so sorrowful!
The homeless, the orphans, and the helpless,
Crying at every day that dawn,
On the streets, in orphanages, in labour camps,
In pain and agony unending,
Stemming from the helplessness of their state,
From afar and within I looked,
In concern at the treatment so ill,
Everyday they shall undergo,
In days gone by they've undergone!
At the fatherless, the motherless, and the orphan,
In pain, I looked somehow helpless!
Crying unto me and unto you,
Wipe away, our tears!
Wipe away, the tears of our dire straits,
Cried in the streets, the homeless and the beggar,
Don't you say our tears that trickle,
With eyes opened wide you can't see!
In their homes, some there they have,
Maltreating unending with impunity,
Oblivious of the knowledge of their Father,
High above unseen, watching with wrath!
On their streets everyday they behold,
Begging with arms raised for alms,
In earnest with prayers included,
'Our tears please, you must wipe!'
Who out there is merciful?
Who around is courageous?
The case of the fatherless and motherless to plead,
The plights of the helpless to consider,
And how merciful could we be?
When all in hands selfishly we hoarded,
And how courageous can we be?
When none for another can die!
Help us, for now too late,
Indeed too late it's getting!
When too late your help it gets,
For sure we die!
Wipe away our tears!
To the world they plead,
Wipe away their tears,
To those who care we plead,
On the streets the care,
So scarce and unwilling,
From you to the beggars and homeless,
Must be given no matter the minuscule,
In your home the treatment so ill,
So ill unending you must stop!
For the wrath of the Father of the fatherless,
To come be stayed!
