Who Told You?

Here now I heard,

Here now I'm told,

You have changed,

Turned a new leaf,

A new leaf of bad change!

A change to the worse!

From fair to worse,

But from worse to worst,

So in earnest I'm not hoping!

Who told you?

Who told you to change?

To join the band wagon on campus,

The band wagon of whores and prostitutes, 

Seductresses, the strange women,

Who the proverbs earnestly warned,

Everyman loving heaven must avoid,

Everyman loving life must spit on!

Here now the hot pants in vogue,

The miniskirts and tight skirts in fashion,

Seducing the hearts of men to fornication and adultery!

On your body they are well adorned,

Now on campus you've been gainfully employed,

By the employer of them all(Satan)

To derail the hearts of men,

Trying on the road of holiness and chastity!

But once you were known for good,

Once upon a time sister 'SU',

Fervent in the path of holiness and righteousness,

Zealously preaching the gospel or trying to,

Standing as a good example to the young women around,

Looking up to you as a shining light,

Shining on as if it'll never end!

Oh! Now it has ended!

The shining light of holiness,

And now around we looked,

To see you among the women shining light!

The light of hope and salvation to the souls lost,

But now you are lost!

Around we looked and can find you not!

Who told you to leave the light?

Is it the prospect or desperateness of marriage?

Which propelled Lot's daughters,

To fall on their father!

Or the influence of peer pressure and friends,

Or the zeal and passion have faded,

Or calamity and predicament so great!

This, these, those, and that,

That weighed you down,

The flame of faith and holiness out they blew!

But you all backsliding sisters,

This for sure must know,

Surely and verily for Christians it's not meet,

To say 'if we cannot beat them'

'We join them!'

We persevere and travail in faith and holiness,

To beat them all the way,

Peradventure we cannot beat it out of them,

We neglect them!

We never join them!

Ephesians 5:11
